LAKES NAKURU & NAIVASHA (2 days)
This 2 days tour leads you to Lake Nakuru National Park where you have a game drive in the surroundings of the lake. You should see plenty of animals : white rhinoceros, buffalos, flamingos. From there, you continue to Naivasha to sleep over. The second day, you visit a completely different park made of nature and adventures, experiencing a boat riding and a bike safari in Hells Gate.
DAY 1 : Visit of Lake Nakuru National Park
The participants of this tour start their journey at 4:00 AM in Iten and travel to Nakuru using a road along the Rift Valley. You enjoy the beautiful sunrise over the valley while enjoying the scenic view of farmlands and plantations as you are heading to the great lake. Around 7:30 AM is reached Nakuru to proceed heading to the Lanet Gate of the park. Upon being checked into the park, you are welcomed by colobus monkeys which are friendly.
Once in the park, you can spot many wild animals such as giraffes, waterbucks, rhinos, zebras, buffalos, hyena, lions and other animals painting the park with an amazing wilderness. You get the view of the unique ecosystem surrounding the park. Nakuru National Park is also a paradise for birds lovers, as so many species are living in the park internationally known for its flamingos, which are thousands feeding on the lake. The feeling of setting your eyes on a pink lake will be such an amazing experience.
Participants can also visit some amazing view points which offer a spectacular view of the lake and surrounding hills. There, they can have Lunch (optional) or just take pictures and enjoy the view of the lake and surroundings.
At the end of the game drive, the group heads for lunch at any restaurant of their choice (we advise you Fishpark Resort where you can do some activities such as zip-lining and other outdoor activities). Finally, they initiate they back journey and reach Iten in the Evening.
DAY 2 : Visit of Lake Naivasha
With this option, participants head to Naivasha right after Lake Nakuru to check in to the hotel and have Dinner, freshen up and stay overnight. Early morning (around 6:00 AM), they have breakfast and enjoy the beautiful sunrise over the hills surrounding the lake. They take a boat ride and see the hippos feeding. This serene surrounding offers many species of birds resting on top of dead trees in the lake, including the majestic crane and other beautiful and brightly coloured birds.
Midmorning, participants explore the Hells Gate National Park, that might remind them another planet as it has beautiful landforms composed by red earth, stone pillars and cliffs. An authentic paint of wildlife.
Hells gate is one of extraordinary things to explore in Naivasha. In this place people can cycle in the red dust, hike the amazing and extraordinary pillars and enjoy the scenic canyons. Midday, participants return to the hotel, have lunch and head to crescent island. Crescent island is a sanctuary that offers original activities like walk with animals. The island is safe from predators, so what best way to end the tour than to walk alongside zebras, giraffes and wildebeest.
In the Evening, participants check-out of the lodges and head back to Iten or continue they road to Nairobi.

OPTION: Hike to Mont Longonot (1 day)

Participants have the opportunity to extend their trip of 1 day to hike the Mont Longonot. This ancient volcano offers a family hike that allows you to reach its summit by following the marked path (3 km) from the entrance of the park. It is then possible to walk around the crater (7 km). The total hike of 14 km takes 4 to 5 hours and can be difficult due to the altitude (nearly 2,800m above sea level at the highest point) for a total cumulative difference in altitude of 1,200m
