We are glad to officially announce Julien Wanders as the Godfather of The Swiss Side ! The elite swiss runner of 25 years old, current European record holder of 10 km (27'13), 15 km, 20 km and half-Marathon (59'13), is established in Iten since 2016.
Known as one of the first elite european runner to live in Iten full-time a year, Julien is an inspiration for many runners of Europa and all around the World. He is one of the first 'Mzungu' (foreigners) to have created and sustained a group in Iten.
Sponsored by Asics since beginning 2021, Julien is known for his hard-working mentality and his trust in 'no-limit' mindset. Humble and sharing all he can with the people surrounding him, we recognize his values in our Training Center's mission and vision which aim to offer access to sports' and culture to local people.
By coming at The Swiss Side, you will then join a place recognized and approved by the bests. Julien himself is living around and might attend to some of our weekly events at some occasions.
